About PDDDL
The PDDDL is a core research facility within the Department of Pathology at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. Our mission is to facilitate development of innovative diagnostics with high sensitivity and specificity to reduce the global burden of human diseases.
We support biomedical research in all academic disciplines and related to all human diseases, from diagnostic testing, mechanistic investigations to monitoring of diseases, and from cancer, neurodegenerative diseases to infectious diseases. The PDDDL is dedicated to expanding state-of-the-art technologies for examination of cells, tissues, and other biospecimens such as body fluids. Under the leadership of Dr. Steven Gonias, Chair of Pathology, the PDDDL is committed to excellence in research, training, and education.
